Pro Tools provides several commands for creating clips and clip groups, each of them having a slightly different effect on the selection. When you create a new clip or clip group, it appears in the Clip List and in the track’s playlist. When creating a new clip from an existing clip, the original clip remains in the Clip List. New clips are named automatically (see Auto-Naming Options).
